For the Artist In Residence / Route de Champagne 2019, the organisers proposed a group project to transform a cinderblock cabin located on the main artery of Ville-Sur-Arce. Limited to donated material and ’48 hours’ construction time my proposition focused upon methodic construction and raw material.
The concept intends to blur the identity of the structure by use of a curtain. The horizontal pattern of the vineyards is displaced to the vertical plane, as a curtain of tutors on nylon cord. Red tips were chosen to represent the labour and devotion of the winemakers.
