AIR. May 2019, Uzes.

Within the framework of the European project NECT’ARTS, a cooperation between the PETR Uzège-PontGard, the GAL Côte des bar in Champagne and the LAG Tinutul Vinuili in Romania, 5 artists from Uzège and Champagne conceived and elaborated a singular work over a 6 day residency at the Lycée des Métiers d’Art Guynemer in Uzès.
With a given set of materials – (Ash, Sandstone, Zinc, steel rod) and a defined brief we sought a form representative of the convergence of multiple energies, artistic paths, and the subtle influences behind agricultural labor and wine production. Entitled The Merkaba, forms and materials revolve around a central core of two tetrahedrons. The geometries convey patterns and metaphors, phenomena of fermentation and effervescence: vinification becomes a human genesis, raw and sidereal.

In strict collaboration with Cyrelle Tassin, Maud Gironnay, Manolo Rodriguez and Jacques Roumanille. Presented at te Jardin Medieval Uzes. June 2 – Oct 20 2019.
